Inbev targets raising W Europe share of 2006 group EBITDA to above 1 pct
Belgian brewer InBev SA said it is targeting a share of group EBITDA growth for the Western Europe region of over 1 pct in 2006, and in coming years.
The region posted a share of just 1 pct of group EBITDA growth in 2005.
The group also said it expects new products launched in last year and this year to generate around 4 pct of total group regional volumes in 2006.
Steffan Descheemaeker, InBev president for western Europe, told reporters that the brewer is committed to turning around the regions ailing performance ffo the group, which has been one of the industrys most challenging geographic areas.

General Motors Corp. (GM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said Tuesday it expected an increase in its European market share this year and flagged plans to increase sales in higher-margin areas.
"We are certainly (looking) for share growth in Cadillac," the automaker's Europe chief, Carl-Peter Forster told reporters at the Geneva auto show.
"Saab could grow or at least maintain its share...Chevrolet most probably is up for another year of strong growth. Put it all together, most probably we will grow share," Forster said.

Europe stocks fall as US CPI sparks inflation woes
European stocks slid to a seven month intraday low on Wednesday after U.S. core inflation prices rose more sharply than expected, raising concerns about the pace of interest rate rises.

Shoe manufacturer Wolverine World Wide Inc. (WWW.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday 2006 earnings will be at the low end of its previously announced range of $1.34 to $1.40 per share due to additional duties on leather footwear imported into the European Union from China and Vietnam.
