FM: Iran not to give a preliminary response to Europes proposal

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Sunday that Iran does not intend to give any preliminary response to the proposal of the 5+1 group, given that some preparation is necessary to respond to the package.

Mottaki made the remark while replying to a question by a reporter whether Iran will present a preliminary response to the proposal on Tuesday.

In reply to another question whether Iran-US talks on Iraq was brought up at the two-day event, he said that it was not on the agenda of the meeting.

Responding to the question by the reporter of the British daily, Guardian, whether Iran has paid the 50-million-dollar package it had pledged to Palestine, he referred to the countrys constant humanitarian assistance to Palestinians and said that this will also be paid.
