Europe and Russia took the team titles at the IAAF World Cup, but the second day of competition belonged to Qatar-based Saif Saaeed Shaheen and Sanya Richards of the United States, who completed competition doubles.
Shaheen, running for Asia, produced a spectacular finish to add the 3,000 meter steeplechase to the 5,000 meters that he won on Saturday.
Richards, meanwhile, who won the 400 meters on the opening day, made easy work of the 200, winning in a time of 22.23.

The United States, on paper, have always gone into the Ryder Cup as overwhelming favourites.

Cuban volleyballers to train in Europe ahead of World Championship
Cuban womens volleyball squad will fly to Russian capital Moscow on Monday to finish the last period of their training ahead of the sports World Championship.
The 14-woman squad will stay in Russia until Oct. 11, playing local clubs, before flying to the Netherlands for a seven-day visit and a friendly game against the Dutch national team. On Oct. 18. Then they will play several club teams in Japan where the championship will take place.
Cubas first championship game is on Oct. 31 against Turkey.
The championship ends on Nov. 16,
Europe plans to track all emails and phone calls
EUROPEAN ministers have agreed on plans that will force telecommunications companies to retain phone and email logs for at least six months, to help investigations into terrorism and other serious crimes.
"It is an essential tool for law enforcement," said British Home Secretary Charles Clarke, who chaired the ministers' meeting.
He said the plans allowed governments to decide how long telecoms companies in their nations should retain the data, as long as it was between six and 24 months.

Rolling Stones begin Europe summer tour in Spain
NEW YORK (Billboard) - The Rolling Stones will bring their world tour to Europe next summer, beginning May 27 in Barcelona.
Stadium dates are on tap through August 29 in Cardiff, Wales, with additional shows still to be announced in Russia, Greece, Croatia, Serbia/Montenegro, Portugal, Denmark, Switzerland and Ireland. Tickets begin going on sale December 3.
As with the North American stadium shows, the Stones are making several hundred seats for each European performance available within a special area built into the stage, allowing fans to get a good view of the audience.
